OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The DeKalb County Airport Authority provides a safe, efficient and cost effective environment for air transportation while contributing to and generating economic benefit by acting as a gateway to and from DeKalb County and the region. We promote aviation, both corporate and private, affording convenient and diverse travel options along with community events for the area citizens.

The DeKalb County Airport maintains 39 T-Hangar style and 5 larger box hangar style structures for rent. Currently there are no available hangars, however, if you join our waiting list, one may be yours soon.

2024 NAVAID Project update, again, and again.
I know by now this seems like some kind of a prank or cruel joke, but, the FAA has rescheduled their flight check once again.
They now plan to be onsite and in the airspace on Friday December 16th to commission the RNAV approaches to 9 and 27 along with the MALSR lighting. They will be back on Wednesday December 18th and 19th to commission the GS, DME and LOC thereby giving us back the ILS to 27.
One can only hope that this time is the final time we have this scheduled.
2024 NAVAID Project update, again.
We are now told that FAA Flight Check will be here on December 10th and 11th to commission the ILS and LPV approaches. I’ve got fingers and toes crossed for no whammies. Here’s to good weather and healthy airplanes and crews. I know you all are feeling a little crazy with all the changes and delays, and staff is right there with you. It’s got our heads spinning for sure. If anything changes we will push out an update. Happy Thanksgiving!
