OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The DeKalb County Airport Authority provides a safe, efficient and cost effective environment for air transportation while contributing to and generating economic benefit by acting as a gateway to and from DeKalb County and the region. We promote aviation, both corporate and private, affording convenient and diverse travel options along with community events for the area citizens.

The DeKalb County Airport maintains 39 T-Hangar style and 5 larger box hangar style structures for rent. Currently there are no available hangars, however, if you join our waiting list, one may be yours soon.

Come ride the D-25!
Here is your opportunity to step back to the time of barnstorming. Come ride in the open cockpit biplane at the Auburn DeKalb Executive Airport.
Fall has officially arrived at the Auburn-DeKalb Executive Airport and there’s something pretty special about seeing the airport surrounded by changing leaves!
October brings cooler temperatures, beautiful flying weather, and, of course… a little Halloween fun. 🎃👻
What are we most excited for this month?? VAA Chapter 37's Scairport event on October 24! What can you expect? Scareport is aviations take on Trunk or Treat! Aviation enthusiasts will be decorating their planes and fly in well stocked on candy for the kiddos! The event is from 1-3 PM at the Auburn Dekalb Executive Airport! GWB was busy this month. There was a vintage D-25 New Standard Bi-plane onsite giving rides, multiple large freight operations (CRJ-200’s), breakfast at the VAA37 hangar and Lunch on the Fly at the main hangar and over 1,800 total operations.
Mike Darnall from maintenance was highlighted, as was B.O. Fink and his grandson Bill, along with Airport Manager Couchman on the Shyann Sessions Podcast and local pilot Jacob Leichty was in the spotlight.
Excellent! Coming into the winter months, those CRJs are going to need de-ice capability on some days to be able to come in. Hopefully something we could get at KGWB in the future.
